Mr Odisseas Shablahidis is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with international experience for more of 24 years and based in UK for nearly 21 years. 

Mr Shablahidis has been trained  in one of the best Orthopaedic Centres across UK ( Oxford, East Anglia, London, Bristol/Avon  Orthopaedic Centre and Royal United Hospitals Bath ).

After passing successfully examinations by  Royal College of Surgeons Mr Shablahidis became Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in UK and also Republic of  Ireland.

Further after completion of his High Surgical Training in Orthopaedics and passing final Exams he was entered in to GMC’s Specialist Orthopaedic Register in 2008.

Mr Shablahidis continued with 2 years of his Fellowship sub – specialty training at Royal  Bournemouth / Poole Orthopaedic Centre and Leicester Royal Infirmary  in areas of Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and  Knee soft tissue reconstruction surgery.

In 2010 he was appointed as a Consultant in Lower limb arthroplasty and Soft Tissue Knee Orthopaedic  Surgery at Swansea Bay University Health Board. 

With in his NHS  practice he is enjoying training of his fellow surgeons and some of them already became Consultants. Also Mr Shablahidis actively involved in international teaching of his fellow colleagues in the areas of Soft Tissue Knee sport trauma. 

He performed more of 2000 different complexity primary and revision Hip / Knee arthroplasty surgery such us Uncemented and Mini-hip, resurfacing hip arthroplasty surgery, Uni-compartmental and uncemented knee replacement. Also he performed more of 1000 knee arthroscopic procedures including anatomical ACL reconstruction, different complexity meniscal repair. He has extensive experience in general trauma surgery.
